Located 23 km north of Tórshavn and more or less at the geographical centre of the Faroe Islands, Kollafjørður is the third harbour area controlled directly by the Port of Tórshavn.
Harbours are on the east- and southside of the fjord. There are 710 metres of quay with up to 11,8 metres depth and 107.000 m2 of area for cargo.
These businesses comprise:
A cold storage company operating a multifunctional, BIP-approved facility with a capacity of 7,000 tonnes.
A cold-storage company with a pelagic fish capacity of up to 9,000 tonnes.
Salt warehouse

Sund is the second of three harbours owned and operated by The Port of Tórshavn.
Originally constructed by the Port of Tórshavn on behalf of the local fishing industry, Sund is now viewed as the ideal location for all kinds of marine, industrial and related activities.
Situated in Kaldbaksfjørður, about 10 km from Tórshavn, well away from residential housing but right alongside the main road between Tórshavn and Vágar Airport, as well as being easily accessible to Eysturoy and the North, via subsea tunnels, Sund is within easy reach from many places.
Furthermore the Faroe Islands’ biggest power plant, owned and operated by the Faroese municipalities energy company, SEV, is located here.
The power plant, although also producing green energy, relies on importing and discharging oil from abroad to operate, using a small designated oil berth, operated by the Port of Tórshavn.
Sund has a total of 215 metres of quay, with one berth of 150 metres and another of 65 metres. A total of 25,000 square metres of land is available for development alongside the two berths.
Sund is ideal for the kind of activities that are best undertaken well away from Tórshavn.
The harbour currently handles the import of aggregates and sand from Norway and from around the Faroes.
This is partially destined for an on-site asphalt plant, but the main purpose is to restock the sand and gravel outlet, located on Sund.
Sund is also used for the export of scrap metal.
